The University Bachelor of Technology (B.U.T.) in Marketing Techniques trains students for jobs in sales, marketing, communication and distribution to the general public.

The diploma is organized around 4 study tracks which are accessible in alternating years:

  • Study track 1: Digital marketing, e-business and entrepreneurship (Aix-en-Provence campus)
    • Managing a digital business
    • Developing an e-business project
  • Study track 2: International Business Purchasing and Sales (Aix-en-Provence campus)
    • Formulating an international business strategy
    • Managing international operations
  • Study track 3: Marketing and Management of the point of sale (Aix-en-Provence and Marseille St Jérôme campuses) 
    • Managing a sales team in a sales area
    • Manage a sales area

  • How are the studies organized?

    The Marketing Techniques department offers a pedagogical approach that includes professional situations, business games and numerous group work sessions during the first year of study.

    The student will have a complete range of disciplines at his disposal in order to choose the best course for the last two years of the B.U.T.

  • Internships, work-study and supervised projects

    The training is carried out either in initial training or in alternating training.

    The University Bachelor of Technology program is divided into 6 semesters: 1800 hours + 600 hours of tutored project spread over the 3 years with a maximum of 32 hours of classes per week. 22 to 24 week internship periods.

  • Alternance

    En BUT TC, l'alternance est possible mais facultative. Le rythme de l'alternance est d'une semaine à l'IUT et une semaine en entreprise.

Digital Marketing, E-Business and Entrepreneurship course

  • Objectifs du parcours

    This course aims to train students in the digital business activities of organisations by developing their skills in steering and managing these activities on the one hand [Managing a digital business], and in developing a digital business project that can lead to the creation of a start-up [Developing an e-business project] on the other. This course enables us to offer marketing that effectively integrates digital skills.

  • Objectifs du parcours

    This course aims to train students in the development of commercial activity while ensuring customer satisfaction in order to build a lasting relationship. Within the framework of local adaptation, this course will also enable students to be trained in specific sectors: banking, real estate, industrial markets, IT, etc.

  • Objectifs du parcours

    This course aims to train students in international marketing and trade by developing their strategic skills [assessment of the international environment and selection of the most suitable markets], and their operational skills [purchasing and negotiation for internationalisation];They are also responsible for their operational skills [purchasing and negotiating with a view to internationalising the company and adapting its offer to foreign markets] in an international context.

Profile of the candidates

To integrate the BUT 1

Holders of the baccalauréat de série génute;rale, the preferred specialist courses, in addition to the common courses are: history, geography, politics and political science / languages, literature and foreign cultures / mathematics / economics and social sciences.

Titulars of the baccalaureate STMG.

To enter BUT 2 or 3

  • Students registered in another IUT : to have validated a BUT1 or BUT2 in the same speciality;
  • Students enrolled in higher education (Licence or CPGE courses) : have validated 60 or 120 ECTS.
  • Students enrolled in a BTS : have obtained the BTS.
