The DUT GTE has become the BUT MT2E

The BUT Métiers de la Transition et de l'Efficacitétiques trains in 3 years assistant engineers and senior technicians in the fields of ENERGY capable of auditing and preparing solutions in the field of environmental and energy performance;energy performance of buildings (heating, ventilation and air treatment envelopes and systems, renewable energies) and industrial utilities (steam, superheated water, chilled water, compressed air, etc.)

At the end of the 1st year, 2 specialisation paths are proposed:

  • OPTIM: energy optimisation for building and industry
  • EXPLOIT: operation of energy facilities for building and industry

  • How are the studies organized?

    The teaching is of a duration of 2000h spread over 3 years. The level of knowledge is assessed by continuous assessment. The teaching is given in the form of 20% lectures, 40% supervised work and 40% practical work. The rhythm is approximately 30 hours per week which must be completed by personal work.

Energy Optimization for Buildings and Industry course

  • Objectifs du parcours

    The skills developed in the OPTIM course - Energy Optimisation for Buildings and Industry - enable the design, dimensioning, auditing and preparation of energy and environmental performance solutions for buildings (envelope, lighting, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, etc.);This is the only way to design, dimension, audit and present solutions for optimising the energy and environmental performance of buildings (envelope, lighting, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, integration of renewable energy, etc.) and utilities....) and industrial utilities (steam systems, superheated water, chilled water, air conditioning, cogeneration, ...).

    • The national training programme, both theoretical and practical, is structured around four blocks of skills:
    • Sizing: Sizing energy, climate or refrigeration installations for the building and industry
    • Optimisation : Optimising the energy and environmental performance of a building, site or installation
    • Réalisation : Réalise energy, climate or refrigeration installations for the building and industry
    • Operating: operate energy, climate or refrigeration test facilities and platforms for the building and industry

    The best students are admitted to engineering schools after the 2nd or 3rd year of the BUT (INSA, ENSAM, ENSE3, ITII/ Centrale Lyon, ENSGTI Pau, Réseau Polytech, Mines, IFFI, .Students can also pursue a MASTER's degree.

    Part 1

    Passing through the BUT MT2E to enter à Polytech'The Thermal Engineering and Energy department, in association with the network of engineering school;nieur universitaire Polytech' offers a passerelle spécifique between the Bachelor Universitaire de Technologie (BUT) MT2E and the engineering schools of the Polytech' network.A privileged access pathway The AVOSTTI pathway: Aaccompanying VOcationsScientific and Ttechnical towards the TIngé degree;This course allows students to follow the BUT MT2E courses with a flexible timetable, while at the same time being prepared to enter an engineering school. At the end of the 2-year course, the student who has obtained his DUT (new formula) MT2E will be able to apply for a place in a school of the Polytech' network. This pathway offers a privileged chance for STI2D baccalaureate graduates to enter an engineering school specialising in the fields of heat and energy.

    But we also advise you to apply directly to the IUT of Aix-Marseille / BUT MT2E.

    The skills developed in the course EXPLOIT - Operation of energy installations for the building and industry - allow to ensure the operation, i.e. the maintenance and the operational, energy and environmental piloting of all types of installations (heating, ventilation, air conditioning, renewable energies, hot water systems, etc.);This is the reason why the company has developed a range of products and services to meet the needs of its customers, and to ensure that they are able to operate, maintain and control all types of installations (heating, ventilation, air conditioning, renewable energies, steam systems, superheated water, iced water, compressed air, air conditioning, etc.) in a rational, energy-efficient and environmental manner...). They also allow to program a realisation and to ensure the follow-up of new works or the renovation of the installations.

    The Thermal Engineering and Energy department, in association with the university engineering networkPolytech' is offering a specific gateway between the Polytech' and the University of Paris;cific between the Bachelor of Technology (BUT) MT2E and the engineering colleges of the Polytech' network.

    A privileged access pathway

    The AVOSTTI  pathway: Aaccompanying VOcationsScientific and Ttechnical towards the Titre of Ingénieur allows you to follow the BUT MT2E courses with a convenient timetable, while being prepared to enter an engineering school.

    At the end of the 2 years of training, the student who has obtained his DUT GTE will be able to apply for a reserved place in a school of the Polytech' network. This pathway offers a privileged chance for STI2D baccalaureate graduates to enter an engineering school specialising in the fields of heat and energy.
