BUT GCGP
  • How are the studies organized?

Each class has a maximum of 70 students. The BUT GCGP includes 2000 h of teaching spread over 6 semesters (3 years). The students will have to provide a significant amount of personal work, in particular for their personalized personal project (PPP) and their tutorial project. The internship periods are between 22 and 26 weeks.
Teaching is provided in the form of lectures, tutorials and especially practical work:

The course is designed to be a combination of practical work and lectures.

    • 20% Lectures
    • 30% Tutorial
    • 50% Practical work (TP)
  • Internships, work-study and supervised projects

Internship between 22 and 26 weeks over the 3 years.

Process Design and Technological Innovation course

  • Objectifs du parcours

The course « Process Design and Technological Innovation »allows graduates to enter in particular
in design offices or research-dévelopment departments. Graduates participate in the design, development and sizing of new clean and safe processes or in the transformation of existing processes; the transformation of existing processes in order, in particular, to limit their energy consumption and to promote the recycling of raw materials. They work as process management technicians, research and development technicians, study managers, SIP preparation technicians and process development technicians.

  • Skills

    • Produce with an industrial installation for the transformation of matter and energy by chemical and biological means (Production)
    • Design industrial production equipment for the transformation of matter and energy by chemical and biological means (Production)Designing industrial production equipment for the transformation of materials and energy by chemical and biological means (Equipment design) of raw materials and products (Quality control)
    • Develop and improve processes for the transformation of raw materials and energy by chemical or biological means;Participate in the definition and follow-up of a project for the installation of equipment for the transformation of raw materials and energy by chemical or biological means

  • Materials

  • Trades

Process Control, Management and Optimization course

  • Objectifs du parcours

The course « Contrôle, Pilotage et Optimisation des Procés »allows the graduates to get involved in the production units of the industries mentioned above. They manage and control automated production workshops in order to optimise their operation and guarantee the quality of the products, taking care of safety and the environment and limiting the consumption of resources (raw materials and energy). Graduates of this course work as production technicians, process technicians or foremen in industry.

  • Skills

Each course consists of a common base of three competences developed over the three years:
    • Produce with an industrial installation for the transformation of matter and energy by chemical and biological means (Production)
    • Designing industrial production equipment for the transformation of materials and energy by chemical and biological means (Equipment design)
    • Controlling the quality of raw materials and products (Quality control)
    • Controlling an automated raw material processing plant;bull; Optimising the production of an industrial installation for the transformation of raw materials and energy by chemical or biological means

  • Materials

  • Trades

  • Further studies

Profile of the candidates

  • Baccalaureate with a scientific focus: mathematics, engineering sciences, physics and chemistry, STL, STI2D and STAV. The selection is made on the basis of the academic record of the first and last years of school (grades and teachers' appraisals) and a personal interview.
  • It is also possible to enter the department after a year of preacute or PACES.
