Chemistry is the science of matter, its constituents and its transformations. It is present in companies of all sizes, from SMEs to multinationals, and in a wide variety of sectors: cosmetics, perfumery, pharmaceuticals, the environment, petrochemicals, metallurgy, the army and navy, agri-food, forensics, etc. The new B.U.T. Chemistry provides a professional education that is both theoretical, practical and technological. It trains multi-skilled senior technicians in the field of chemistry in three years. A diploma at the end of the second year can be considered for further study, for example. The DUT will then be delivered.

How are the studies organized?
This course is very well supervised with 80% of the teaching given in groups of less than 25 students.
The chemistry department offers students the Course « Analyses, Contrôle-qualité, Environment », as well as specialisation in chemical and biochemical analyses, industrial analysers, or marketing techniques.Internships in companies, in France or abroad, make up the training: 8 weeks in the second year and 16 weeks in the third year.
We also offer the BUT in alternation from the first year. -

Analysis, quality control and environment course

Objectifs du parcours
The graduate of the Analysis, Quality Control, Environment course will be able to deal with all the phases of an analytical process, from the sampling and pre-treatment of the sample, the implementation of the analytical method, its optimisation and its validation.

The BUT Chemistry opens the way to numerous further studies with different modes of entry depending on the path chosen.
- Engineering school (ENSCM, CPE, INSA, ITECH...)
Recruitment on file and interview is practiced by these engineering schools so getting the best possible ranking in the GOAL increases the chances of being retained.
