The aim of the Digital Aeronautics Project Management stream of the Sector Management Masters is to train future managers to work in companies in the aeronautics industry in all areas (research and development, design, production, maintenance, engineering, etc.);They will need to combine their managerial skills with their ability to use 4.0 tools in industrial practices. The role of these professionals will be to analyse, design, manage and improve industrial processes in the aeronautics industry, taking account of economic, environmental and social issues. They will be familiar with the challenges of the industry of the future and will be able to successfully carry out industrial transformation projects based on digitalisation. This ability is based on an in-depth understanding of aircraft technology, 4.0 technologies with an aeronautical application, and project management techniques. To achieve this, they will need to understand their environment, as well as the organisational and technological innovations likely to improve its performance. They will also need to be able to commit to innovative and collaborative projects.

  • Structure and organization

The course accommodates a maximum of 24 students in Master 1 and Master 2. It is only on a sandwich course basis in companies in the aeronautics industry (aircraft operators, MROs, systems manufacturers, equipment manufacturers, tier 1 service providers, major principals, etc.)

  • Rhythm of the sandwich course

In Master 1, candidates will spend 14 weeks at the IUT and 38 weeks at the company.
In Master 2, candidates will spend 12 weeks at the IUT and 40 weeks at the company.
An international period may be organised with the company.

  • Specific certifications

During the two years of training, they are prepared for the TOEIC with the organisation of mock TOEICs. A minimum level is required in the final exam.

    The master's degree is structured into 4 competences:

    • Knowing and analysing the business environment and strategies
    • Design and maintain for the aeronautical industry in a digital environment
    • Piloting the factory of the future
    • Transforming the factory of the future

    Cross-disciplinary activities enable candidates, using the latest technological, aeronautical and digital devices (tensile strength (XR), additive manufacturing, engine bench and wind tunnel, Catia 3DS, ....), to mobilise the knowledge acquired à on the Polyaéro site (aérodrome of Gap-Tallard) and in companies:

    • In Master 1, an in-company improvement project is carried out. Its purpose is to provide organisational and technological solutions to a problem identified with the company where the work-study placement is taking place.
    • In Master 2, Based on specifications, the objective is to propose a technological and digital advance that optimises the implementation parameters (performance, project management methods, risk management, etc.).
    • During the training course, candidates also invest time in writing a dissertation on an issue they choose in relation to their own or their company's business.

Profile of the candidates

Applicants must have a bachelor's degree, professional degree or university bachelor's degree in secondary technology (aeronautical industry, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering and maintenance, physical measurements, maintenance of multi-technical systems, etc.). An aeronautical component, or project management will be learnable.
