  • Internship: assignments of varying lengths to put knowledge into practice

    Internships are an essential part of initial training at IUT. Supervised by a teacher-tutor, the trainees have an educational objective that corresponds to their level of study. The company must supervise, train, monitor and evaluate the trainee. Trainees are subject to the current legislation on working hours, i.e. 35 hours per week.

    Students in the BUT program undergoing initial training complete several internships of a maximum cumulative duration of 26 weeks. The missions entrusted to the trainee change according to the level of study.

    To help you identify the training program from which your trainee will come and to prepare an internship offer, consult the list of training programs. Do not hesitate to contact the training secretariats who can help you.

    Memo internship :

    • an agreement regulates the practical aspects of the internship
    • the student is supervised by a teacher
    • a gratuity (15% of the hourly SS ceiling) applies beyond 2 months
    • interns have the same rights as employees of the company
  • Work experience: a long-term investment

    The work-study contract, apprenticeship or professionalization contract, allows for the gradual integration of an employee into the company and facilitates the eventual hiring of the employee at the end of his or her training in complete confidence.

    The University Bachelor of Technology aims to allow 50% of its graduates to enter the workforce directly. 3,000 students graduate from the IUT of Aix-Marseille each year.
