Study programs departements

Each teaching department is an autonomous educational entity organized around the BUT diploma which offers complementary diplomas and training actions such as professional licenses, university diplomas, continuing education or professional certifications. This organization makes it possible to ensure that each student receives the appropriate support according to his or her needs: whether it is in the context of the courses, which are usually given in small groups, or in the organization of departmental life, which allows the teachers and the pedagogical secretaries to maintain a permanent dialogue with their students.

  • Social Careers - CS (Aix-en-Provence, Encagnane)

    The Social Careers Department trains students in the new urban professions, at the interface between the social field and urban space. Attentive to changes in public policy and the contemporary challenges facing cities, it is oriented towards the development of territories based on solidarity and sustainable projects. With the support of a multidisciplinary team of teacher-researchers, professors and professionals, the Social Careers Department offers two training programs that are available for initial training, apprenticeship and continuing education:

  • Management of Organisations - GACO (Digne-les-Bains)

    The Administrative and Commercial Management of Organizations Department offers a cross-disciplinary approach to business and integrates the issues of social and environmental responsibility and sustainable development in the business world. The versatile teaching in management, accounting, commerce, marketing, sales, organization, management, communication and human resources offers an open vision of the company of the future and responsible entrepreneurship.

  • Business Organisation & Management - GEA Aix-en-Provence, Gaston Berger

    The Department of Business and Administration Management offers a range of courses leading to management professions and allowing either direct professional integration or further study in higher education. Each course combines a general university education (communication, social psychology, modern languages, mathematics, economics, law) and a professional technological education (accounting, management information systems, finance, management control, human resources management). The following diplomas are offered in initial training, apprenticeship and continuing education :

  • Business Organisation & Management - GEA (Gap)

    The Business and Administration Management department trains versatile managers capable of understanding the legal, digital, economic and social environment of organizations on a national and/or international scale. These courses meet several objectives:

    to train managers of small and medium-sized organizations around a transversal project of creation and takeover of companies

    to integrate into the local specificity of its teaching an orientation in mountain economics

  • Business Organisation & Management - GEA (Marseille Saint-Jérôme)

    The Department of Business and Administration Management covers the different dimensions of business management: logistics, commercial, legal, fiscal, financial and accounting. The graduate is required to participate in the management of an organization, to gather and process the information necessary for decision-making, to set up information systems, and to negotiate with the various internal and external players in the organization.   • Logistics and Transport - MLT (Aix-en-Provence, Gaston Berger)

    The logistics and transport sector is one of the most attractive sectors for recruitment in France and abroad! Currently, the growth of e-commerce has made the sector even more dynamic, offering numerous career development opportunities. The solid relationships developed with manufacturers, distributors, logistics service providers and land, sea and air transporters represent a major asset for students.   • Marketing and Sales Techniques - TC (Aix-en-Provence, Gaston Berger)

    The Marketing Techniques Department of Aix-en-Provence represents today a real university community made up of students, teachers, graduates and professional partners all linked by a spirit, a culture, a professional approach to the service of commercial skills.   • Marketing and Sales Techniques - TC (Marseille Saint-Jérôme)

    The Marketing Techniques Department in Marseille offers a multidisciplinary university education that is highly valued in a wide range of sectors, characterized by a broad spectrum of skills focused on sales and marketing. The Marketing Techniques Department thus trains versatile, autonomous and progressive sales people. The skills acquired by students can also enable them to work in fields as varied as business administration and management, market research, promotion and advertising, sales, exporting, purchasing and supply.   • Book Trade and Heritage Professions - MLP (Aix-en-Provence, Méjanes)

    The Department of Information-Communication / Book and Heritage Professions, which is oriented towards the library, publishing and bookstore professions, offers its training courses at the Cité du Livre in Aix-en-Provence. Graduates are mediators specialized in the promotion and distribution of books, magazines and other publishing media (sound, video, digital...). The program strives to facilitate the professional integration of graduates and to develop their ability to adapt and evolve in companies, public and private sectors and associations working in sectors that are undergoing major changes today. Both theoretical and practical, the courses combine general and professional culture with concrete technical training.   • Digital Creation - MMI (Arles)

    In the heart of the city of Arles, an international and university center of culture, image and photography, the Multimedia and Internet Department offers training courses that allow students to move towards multimedia, digital and Internet professions. At the gateway to the Camargue and the Alpilles mountain range, the IUT welcomes the students of the department in modern premises close to the city center. Students can borrow professional equipment and use the building's sound and video studios. The following degrees are offered in initial training, apprenticeship and continuing education:

  • Civil Engineering - GCCD (Marseille Château Gombert)

    The Department trains professionals who will work in all sectors of construction: from foundations to structures and technical equipment, from the stability of constructions to questions of thermal, acoustic and visual comfort, from the choice of materials to the definition of construction techniques, from earthworks to road development or engineering structures. The courses cover the main fields of civil engineering such as acoustics, hydraulics, electricity, networks, structures, infiltrometry, resistance of materials, non-destructive testing.... Located within the Civil Engineering pole in partnership with the Civil Engineering department of Polytech Marseille and the Mechanical Engineering department of the Faculty of Sciences, students have access to important and shared resources for their learning.   • Energy Engineering - MT2E (Ex GTE) Marseille Saint-Jérôme

    Energy is at the heart of our society, from our air conditioner to our car, from the world of construction to that of aeronautics, energy is everywhere, requiring men and women capable of producing it, managing it and controlling it.

    The Department's courses cover all activities related to the production, use and management of energy in industry, transportation and construction. It approaches them in their technical and economic aspects by controlling their impact on the environment in a sustainable development perspective. The following diplomas are offered in initial training, apprenticeship and continuing education:

  • Health, Safety, Environment - HSE (La Ciotat)

    The Health, Safety and Environment department trains risk prevention professionals in the fields of health, safety and the environment, particularly in the nuclear sector. It is recruited nationally, which extends its area of influence well beyond the region. The partnerships with companies and local authorities are numerous. They benefit from the dynamism of a growing professional sector. The following diplomas are offered in initial training, apprenticeship and continuing education:

  • Chemistry - CH (Marseille Saint-Jérôme)

    The Chemistry Department is located on a site that is strongly anchored in the local industrial fabric of the Marseille area. Chemistry is the science of matter, its constituents and its transformations, present in companies of all sizes, from SMEs to multinationals, and in a wide variety of sectors: cosmetics, perfumery, pharmaceuticals, the environment, petrochemicals, metallurgy, the army and navy, agri-food, forensics, etc. The Chemistry Department trains versatile and competent professionals through its diplomas in initial training, apprenticeship and continuing education:

  • Biological Engineering - GB (Digne-les-Bains)

    The teaching of the Department of Biological Engineering is designed to train professionals with a broad spectrum of knowledge and skills in biology, enabling them to find a job and pursue their studies in various sectors: agricultural, agronomic, agri-food, biotechnological, and environmental. The basic scientific education allows the acquisition of fundamental knowledge that will facilitate the career development of the graduates and the specialized applied education, anchored in professional practice, provides solid know-how and skills.

  • Chemical and Process Engineering - GCGP (Marseille Saint-Jérôme)

    Process Engineering is a science that enables the design, construction and operation of industrial installations for the transformation of matter and energy.

    Unique in southeastern France and located in an industrial basin rich in processes, the Department of Chemical Engineering - Process Engineering trains senior technicians and assistant engineers specialized in processes and bioprocesses. Graduates are able to develop and manage production units in fields such as the environment, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and petrochemicals.
